Commemorating 1000 years of Andhra Maha Bharatham, the translated work of Sage Veda Vyasa in Telugu language, a select few 116 padyams  were selected as per the guidance of His Holines Sri Shankara Vijayendra Shankaracharya Swami Varu. These padyams would be recited every year as part of the Vyasa Bharatham event which would be held on the Margasheersha Krishna Paksha Dwadashi (Aradhana of Kanchi Maha Periyava, Sri Chandrashekharendra Saraswati Shankaracharya Swami Varu), by several thousands of school & college going students. This is a mark of reverence to the "Walking God" and intended towards Telugu bhasha pracharam amongst the youth.
